A Prototype design for areas of high flood risk or coastal erosion.

This project for a one or two storey timber framed and shiplap clad house, is designed specifically for areas where the future of the land is uncertain due to high flood risk or coastal erosion. Locally constructed, quickly erected and if required fully re-locatable, it answers many of the problems raised by the construction of homes in these areas, whilst providing a sustainable and low cost option for either the individual house builder or the mass housing market. The design could also be used as a prototype for a mobile/ holiday home where something more stylish and flexible is required.

This is an idea the practice would like to develop in the future.
